I am on a tight budget, how can I afford to hire a coordinator?

Hiring the right wedding coordinator should never be an expense.  A good coordinator can save you hundreds, sometimes thousands, of dollars off your wedding costs through experienced negotiations with vendors, such as wedding photographers, and superior knowledge of the industry.  That is our job, our services pay for themselves.

EPN offers customized services for every budget, and you will never have to choose your services from a list of packages.

What qualifications should my coordinator have?

A qualified coordinator has several levels of experience in event planning and has planned many weddings and events for a variety of people, not just their own wedding.  They know the business and, more importantly, are professionals who are prepared to deal with the smallest detail or the largest headache.  Coordinators who have bought a wedding planning book from a bridal association, have taken Wedding Planning 101 at the local community college, or have paid a large fee to a bridal association for a certificate are not necessarily qualified.

While learning about event planning and holding a certificate from an online class may be the first step in learning how to become an event planner/coordinator, it does not instantaneously make you a wedding coordinator or an event planner.  EPN's team members each have five to ten years experience in event planning and wedding coordination.  Our backgrounds and hands-on training ensures that you are hiring only the best to oversee your special day.  Don’t trust your event and money to just anyone.

My reception facility already has an onsite Wedding Planner, why would I need another one?

Many hotels and reception sites now offer an onsite planner.  Typically, these people are sales managers for the facility, which means that sales are their primary concern.  Once you have signed on with them, they will certainly want to keep you happy, but the details of your wedding will not be their top priority.

One last factor to consider is facility turnover.  Onsite planners tend to move around frequently, so the person you started working with may no longer be there come your wedding day.
